We Cannot Have A Fugitive As President- APC Tells Atiku

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to come clean “on the nagging issue of his travel ban to the United States of America” following his alleged indictment for corruption in that country. The challenge came on Sunday as rumours of an alleged “presidential impostor” gathered momentum. The ruling party accused the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of instigating the ‘silly’ claim. The rumours took a dangerous hype at the weekend following the reported stabbing of a Nigerian diplomatic attaché recently in Sudan. Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, in a statement, said the PDP was busy entertaining people with what it called “silly conspiracies around the president, and ignoring credibility issues surrounding its candidate”. He added: “From silly conspiracies on the shape of the President’s ear, a ludicrous allegation of a presidential body d...

At an emergency board meeting on Monday, executives from the firm ousted Carlos Ghosn as chairman following the tycoon’s shock arrest a week ago on allegations of financial misconduct. Here are some facts and background about the Japanese firm which employs around 31,000 people and whose products are sold in 160 countries. Scandal follows scandal  Founded in 1970, the Tokyo-based firm has found itself on the brink of the scrap yard following massive corporate scandals. In 2000, Mitsubishi Motors was forced to confess it had failed to inform the authorities about at least 64,000 customer complaints over faulty vehicles since 1977, opting to repair the vehicles itself instead of issuing costly model-wide recalls. Four years later, the scandal broadene...

The form of the 22-year-old has dipped recently but the Super Eagles boss is confident that the attacker will recover from the setback. Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr believes Kelechi Iheanacho is suffering from ‘lack of self-confidence’. The forward who started his senior international career brightly, scoring seven goals in 11 appearances has failed to find the net for the three-time African champions since November 2017. During the last international break, Iheanacho missed a gilt-edged chance to give the Super Eagles a lead against South Africa in a crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers tie. His performance for his Premier League club has also not been impressive having failed to score in his last eight games across all competitions. However, the German tactician has backed the former Manchester City prodigy to rediscover his confidence for Leicester and make an impact for the Super Eagles in Cameroon. "We have all seen how Iheanacho has been playing...

I like to have a good time. I can train hard, but I also need some downtime. If I don’t go out and let off steam, I go a bit crazy. “My coach understood, and we worked out a good system. Even though I went to parties, I was still winning races. If I was coming last, sure, you can tell me to stop partying, but if I’m breaking world records, you got no right to tell me what to do.” Bolt also spoke on his relationship with Kasi Bennett. The pair have been together for over five years.  He said: “I have to talk about it,...
