Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has described his English Premier League rival, Pep Guardiola as the best coach in the world.
Klopp made this declaration while recently responding to a question about who he prefers between the Manchester City boss and Jose Mourinho.
The German tactician has had the pleasure of facing both coaches in the Premier League over the past two years having previously came up against Guardiola in the Bundesliga.
Guardiola and Mourinho have contrasting styles, with the Spaniard known for his fluid attacking style while the Portuguese is popular for his defensive and cautious approach to the game.
Mourinho has often been accused of parking the bus and, despite leading Manchester United to a second place finish with 81 points last term, his side currently sit eighth in the league.
When asked who Klopp prefers in a quickfire Q&A with Sky Germany, Klopp responded: "Pep Guardiola."
Clarifying his choice, Klopp added: "It’s not about better.
"I think Pep is the best coach in the world.
"So you could have asked me any other name.
"It’s not about a comparison with Jose, Pep is doing alright."
